Scrapbook: studded converse

Today I've finally finished to customize my very first pair of Converse: white Chuck Taylor Lo-Top.



Studded Converse are definitely a punk glam symbol, they're quite popular at the moment, and I wanted to make a pair by myself (I always love handmaking, I like to customize following my inspiration :)
The work wasn't so simple, because the canvas is more resistant than I thought (however I think that's a good quality for shoes!)
I bought pyramid studs like in my scrapbook, I've used a big needle to make each hole, and I've used pliers to bend each stud's tab.
Studs with this kind of tabs are perfect because they don't annoy foot when walking.

I'm quite satisfied! :)

Feeling Turquoise

Turquoise is here.

Pantone has unveiled color of the year 2010: PANTONE 15-5519 Turquoise,
and it's definally a must have for this SS 2010.

First of all, actually turquoise and also all the shades of blue are the new purple&lilac, both in fashion and in interior design.


During Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010, located in Milan from 14th april to 19th april, it was all about this colour, but in darker shades, and mainly combined:

• with white
  
  
  
• with natural shades (wood)

• with lilac or colours close to the principal (dark turquoise - purple, dark turquoise - blue)
  
  
  
  
• the most interesting: dark turquoise - yellow - light brown/wood
  

This combination is the most important, because is new, very balanced, somehow natural or organic, and very attractive. Elegant, sophisticated, but also boho and folk.

The most chic interpretation of combination was showed by Minotti: dark turquoise, glossy for tables, matched with mustard yellow and, for neutral colour, grey rendered using black/white chevron. Very classy! (unfortunately at the moment I have no photo apart this one below...I'll search ^_^)
