Interpretations of my leather belt

I really love my slim leather belt, it's from H&M.

I think that the best quality of a belt like this one, is that it can become many different accessories:

A single belt

I bought three identical belts, and I link one to the other in order to make them a very long belt, which I pass around my waist many times.
Like a modern obi :)
Sometimes I like to link many slim belts, different for colour/material, the combination is always something  particular.

My favourite way to wear a belt is fixing it with a knot.
In this way it doesn't matter the right lenght of a belt compared with the waist, but
on the contrary, is always better a longer belt, to make a bigger knot.

Like a long necklace.
It's possible to put in it many charms (also linked in the buckle)
or put many bangles, like Dries Van Noten in Fall 2008.

Like a tie
Also here, it's possible to link to the buckle one or many charms.

Like a choker.

Like a cuff/bracelet.

Like a head band.

Scrapbook: studded converse

Today I've finally finished to customize my very first pair of Converse: white Chuck Taylor Lo-Top.

Studded Converse are definitely a punk glam symbol, they're quite popular at the moment, and I wanted to make a pair by myself (I always love handmaking, I like to customize following my inspiration :)
The work wasn't so simple, because the canvas is more resistant than I thought (however I think that's a good quality for shoes!)
I bought pyramid studs like in my scrapbook, I've used a big needle to make each hole, and I've used pliers to bend each stud's tab.
Studs with this kind of tabs are perfect because they don't annoy foot when walking.

I'm quite satisfied! :)

Design and Magritte

Macbook sticker/decal - Apjam (Etsy shop)
Jeeves pendant lamps - Jake Phipps for Innermost
Magritte Chair - Roberto Matta for Gavina

From Renè Magritte, to design.

Surrealism inspirations in design are always very current, and even if not brand new (Gavina chair is dated 1971), they've become timeless, and they still seem to have something to say.

I think that the newest interpretation of this inspiration is now the "Alice in Wonderland" trend.
